Homeschool
Your homeschool, kept in one calm place.
Plan each child's day, log hours in a tap, keep their best work, and print a year-end report or a high school transcript when someone asks for one. The same Rostra that schools use, shaped for a kitchen table.
$80 a year or $8 a month for the whole family. Children never need an account.
What a family gets
Everything in one plan, with nothing to add later.
A lesson plan for each child
Plan the week by child and subject. Each morning shows every child what is on for today.
Hours and days in a tap
Log what got done by subject in a few seconds. Progress toward the days or hours you set is always on the front page.
A portfolio of their work
Drop in photos of worksheets, drawings and projects, several at once, tagged by subject and date.
Reading log and field trips
Every book finished and every trip taken, with time on a trip counted toward the hours.
Gradebook and transcript
Grade assignments as you go. For high school, add courses with credits and grades and the transcript works out the GPA.
A year-end report, ready to print
Hours by subject, curriculum, books, trips, work samples and test scores, on one page with a signature line.
A reward chart
Stars for good work and kindness, and a prize worth saving up for.
A simple health log
Medicine given, a scraped knee, a checkup. Kept private to the family.
Messages
Write to the other parent, grandparents or your co-op from one place.
For co-ops
Several families, one set of classes. The coordinator adds each family and the classes; every parent who teaches keeps their own class, and every family keeps its own records.
- Classes taught by different parents, each with its own planner and gradebook
- One shared calendar for class days, trips and park days
- Messages to every family, or just one class
- Each family sees its own children's records and nobody else's
A co-op pays $80 a year for each member family.
Your state, your rules
Every state sets its own rules for homeschooling. Some ask for a number of days or hours, some ask for a portfolio or a test, and some ask for none of it. Rostra does not decide what counts and does not give legal advice. You set your own goal in days, hours or both, and Rostra links you to your state's own rules to check.
Your records are yours. Download every log as a spreadsheet, print every report, and nothing is ever sold.
Start this week
Setup is four short steps: your family, your children, who teaches, and your year.
