Choosing recipients
Built on your roster
Send to the whole school, a grade, a homeroom, one family, or a group such as families with equipment still out.
Missing contacts flagged first
Before you send, Post shows which students have no guardian email on file, with a link to update them.
One email per household
A family with three children receives one message that names all three. Guardians at different addresses each receive a copy.

Your school’s branding
Messages use your school colors and crest, so families recognize them immediately.
Merge fields that fill in automatically
Student names, guardian names and homerooms fill in for each family. Anything Rostra does not recognize is left exactly as written.
A preview with real data
The preview uses the first family on your list, so you see exactly what they will receive.
Personal signatures
Each teacher can use their own sign-off, so a message from a teacher reads as coming from that teacher.
Sending from your domain
A verified school address
Add three DNS records and messages are sent from your school address. Rostra checks the records and tells you if one needs attention.
A safe default
Until your domain is verified, messages are sent by Rostra with your address as the reply-to.
Compatible with Google Workspace
Rostra adds to your existing SPF record instead of creating a second one, which protects your school’s regular email.

What it does not do

- Post sends email but does not receive it. Replies go to your school’s existing email account.
- It does not send text messages. Emergency text alerts require a dedicated notification system.
- It never guesses an address. Families without an email on file are reported so you can update them.
